Inspiration and History
The vision and inspiration for this organization has foundations from Keith Kelble’s first visit to multiple islands of Cape Verde in 2009 with his wife Elce (aka “Cici”) who immigrated from Brava, Cape Verde to the United States in 1978. God placed love and compassion in his heart for Cape Verdeans and the country of Cape Verde that has inspired him to serve.
Together, Keith and Elce have sought to help Cape Verdeans with practical assistance, encouragement, and ministry and by sharing the gospel and God’s plan for salvation through Jesus Christ.
In 2020 during the COVID era, inspired by other Cape Verdeans doing good works in the Islands, Keith and Elce incorporated Cape Verde Restoration Outreach as a non-profit 501c3 in the US, later renaming it Cape Verde Center of Hope. They invited board members with similar calling to walk alongside them through this exciting journey to spread the gospel and help Cape Verdeans. They established a non-profit foundation corporation in Cape Verde called Centro da Esperanca in 2025 to create a comprehensive organization capable of fully serving its mission.
Their vision is that every Cape Verdean hears the gospel to gain salvation and experience personal transformation.
They have exciting plans and have said, "We are just getting started!"

Our Mission
Our mission is to spread the hope of the gospel of Jesus Christ across Cape Verde through compassionate outreach and evangelism.
